06/01/2020: The deadline to request a refund has passed. We are no longer accepting requests for refunds. The data file for Registration Refunds has been uploaded to Sports Engine and is currently being processed.  Please allow 2-4 weeks for refunds to arrive. 

Hit-A-Thon refunds should be arrive in 1-2 weeks.

To Our West Yorba Linda Little League Families and Sponsors -

Thank you to our families and sponsors for your patience during these unprecedented times. The Board of Directors has been working diligently to review all information sources, including your feedback, related to the Stay-At-Home Orders issued by the State of California regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The safety and well-being of our families continues to be our highest priority. After careful consideration, it is with great sadness that we announce the Board of Directors has voted to cancel the remainder of the 2020 Spring Season at West Yorba Linda Little League.

We realize that our families have made a significant financial investment to play baseball. We also have the obligation to operate the league in a manner that is fiscally responsible to ensure that families have a place to play baseball well into the future. We are offering families two options: (1) a prorated refund of Registration Fees for the 2020 Spring Season or (2) the option to donate 2020 Spring Registration Fees to the league. The prorated refund will deduct the cost of jerseys, hats, umpire fees where applicable, and prorated insurance for each player. Many of the other costs associated with operating the league such as field maintenance, equipment, pictures, rent, utilities and more will not be factored into the equation so that we can offer the maximum refund possible. Donors may also request a Hit-A-Thon refund. Hit-A-Thon donations will be refunded as the amount donated to the league less credit card fees. If no refund request is made for Registration Fees or Hit-A-Thon donations, those funds will be considered donations to the league. Registration and Hit-A-Thon refund requests must be made on our website at NO LATER THAN May 30, 2020.

Sponsors have also contributed to our league through financial and product donations. We value these partnerships and understand that the full value of these sponsorships was not realized for the 2020 Spring Season. In the interest of fairly maximizing sponsorship value, the Board of Directors has voted to carry forth all sponsorships into the 2021 Spring Season. This provides each sponsor exposure for the full 2021 season in addition to the partial season already played this year.

The Board of Directors will continue to monitor information sources and follow the guidance of Little League International, Federal, State, and Local officials as it relates to playing baseball. We will continue to plan according to changing health and safety requirements so that we can hopefully offer a 2020 Fall Ball season. Please continue to visit our website at to stay updated.

Request Refund or Donation

Families may choose to request refunds OR donate funds to the league for both the 2020 Spring Registration Fees AND the Hit-A-Thon Donations by completing the (2) forms below. NON ACTION PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE WILL RESULT IN THE FUNDS BEING DONATED TO THE LEAGUE.

Q: What is the amount of my registration refund?
A: Registration Refunds are the registration cost paid less the cost for jersey, hat, credit card fees for registration, umpire fees when applicable, and insurance for each player. Refunds will vary depending on a number of different variables including Early Bird or Late Registration, multi player discounts for siblings, the division your player participated in and more. If you request a refund, expect to receive approximately 50 - 65% depending on the variables for each individual player. Note that WYLLL is absorbing additional costs such as field maintenance, equipment, pictures, rent, utilities, and more.

Q: How will my registration refund be sent to me?
A: Registration Refunds will be issued to the credit card or checking account used during registration.

Q: How long will it take to receive my registration refund?
A: Refunds should be available in 4-6 weeks. Our registration platform, Sports Engine, does not allow us to process refunds after 90 days. We must work with them through a special refund process to batch all refund requests together into a single batch. We will be submitting our batch to be processed immediately following the deadline. Refunds should arrive by the end of June.

Q: What if I want to donate my registration fee or my Hit-A-Thon donation to the league?
A: Great! Thank you for your generosity. Please complete the form and select the "Donate" option when prompted.

Q: What are other leagues in the surrounding area doing?
A: Many leagues in the surrounding area have already announced the cancellation of their season. Some leagues are offering NO refund of registration fees. Other leagues are offering much smaller prorated refunds. Each league is run differently and depends on different income sources to sustain operations. WYLLL has been fortunate to have great support from our families and sponsors over the past several years in order to offer the maximum refund possible.


Q: What is the amount of my Hit-A-Thon refund?
A: Hit-A-Thon refunds are the donation made to the league less credit card fees for the transaction. Any "Tip" amount that was donated to 99 Pledges is not refundable.

Q: How will my Hit-A-Thon refund be sent to me?
A: Hit-A-Thon refunds will be made by check payable ONLY to the named donor on the transaction. The named donor MUST request a Hit-A-Thon donation via the form above.

Q: How long will it take to receive my Hit-A-Thon refund?
A: Refunds should arrive in 2-3 weeks. We will process Hit-A-Thon refunds in the order in which the requests arrive. We expect a high volume of requests which takes time to process. We will make every effort to expedite this process. We appreciate your patience.

Q: What if I want to donate my Hit-A-Thon donation to the league?
A: Great! Thank you for your generosity. Please complete the form and select the "Donate" option when prompted.
