Coaching Application

Potential Managers and Assistant Coaches

Little League Managers and Coaches must be leaders. All must recognize that they hold a position of trust and responsibility in a program that deals with a sensitive and formative period of a child’s development.

It is required that Managers and Coaches have understanding, patience and the capacity to work with children. The Manager and Coaches should be able to inspire respect. Above all else, Manager and Coaches must realize that they are helping to shape the physical, mental and emotional development of young people.

New Requirements for Managers and Assistant Coaches

As the world changes, so do the requirements for Little League International. Due to changes in Federal and State laws and in the interest of maintaining a high level of safety and integrity, the following process is required of all Managers and Coaches:

  1. Complete a Volunteer Application.
  2. Complete a Background Screening Application.
  3. Complete the Manager/Coach Application.
  4. The Board of Directors will select Managers for each division and notify them by early January for the Spring season and by late August for the Fall Season.
  5. Managers and Coaches must attend all mandatory meetings and complete all trainings (Clinic, First Aid, Concussion, Safe Sports Act of 2017).
